Intensive Therapy Programs
INTENSIVES AT MOTIVATE KIDS
Child Centred and Strengths Based
Every child experiences and interacts with the world differently. Our personalised approach respects and embraces these differences, using evidence-informed techniques in a supportive, strengths-based environment. By focusing on what motivates each child, we help them gain independence and empower them to build the skills they need for life.
Intensive Therapy
Intensive therapy in paediatric occupational therapy refers to a structured intervention model that provides high frequency and concentrated therapy sessions over a defined period to accelerate skill acquisition, neuroplasticity, and functional independence in children with developmental, neurological, or physical challenges. Our Intensive Programs use evidence-informed techniques in a strengths-based, engaging environment to help children build the skills they need for everyday life.
Who intensives may suit
Our intensives support children who benefit from focused, high-frequency therapy in a way that meets their individual needs. This may be particularly beneficial for children who:
- – Require additional support with sensory processing, emotional regulation, motor coordination or general play skills.
- – Experience strong emotions, dysregulation, extreme behaviours, high anxiety, defiance or persistent drive for autonomy
- – Are non-speaking and benefit from multi-sensory, structured therapy
- – Thrive with immersive learning experiences
- – Find it hard to attend therapy regularly during the school term, or can only attend during holidays.
- – Have hit a plateau in their progress and need a fresh approach
- – Live remotely or have limited access to therapy
